Purpose and Goal:

The purpose of the Special Education Department is to provide all students with disabilities, ages 3-21, with a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE).  It is our responsibility to provide educational services that will assist students with special needs accessing the curriculum.  We offer services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, special transportation, behavioral support, etc.   We strive to reach each student’s potential along while supporting the families throughout the educational process.  Our goal is to uphold the principles/ standards set forth by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).  IDEA Part B is a law ensuring services to children with disabilities and governs how states and public agencies provide special education and related services to eligible children and youth with disabilities.  It is OUR goal to SERVICE!!!
